The Blue Jackets have acquired right wing Petr Kalus from the Wild in exchange for future considerations, Blue Jackets Executive Vice President and GM Scott Howson announced today. Kalus has been assigned to the AHL?s Springfield Falcons. Kalus, 23, has appeared in 11 career NHL games and has registered four goals and one assist for five points and six penalty minutes with Boston and Minnesota.

The Capitals, looking to add size and experience down the middle, acquired Devils center Jason Arnott Monday for checking center David Steckel. The Devils also will receive a 2012 second-round draft pick from the Capitals, according to an ESPN.com report.
